The founder of Vidyamandir Trust, Late Shri Kanubhai Mehta, in memory of his father, started a training institute in the field of primary education in the year 1972 with financial support from Shri Chhotalal Keshavalal Mehta Charitable Trust.The purpose of establishing this institution was so that the so-called backward Banaskantha district could come forward in the field of education and this district could get dedicated teachers who would make a special contribution to it. Apart from this, the primary schools run by the trust could also benefit and they too could be aware of new ideas.Thus, the work that started with a small idea is today spreading its fragrance across the state.
